When people say “we need to accept death”, I can’t help but think “NOW”, we just checked off the first step to immortality, and NOW we need to accept death. What if people said that about cholera in the water? “We just need to accept that there is cholera in the water”. Some people also say “the fear of death is irrational”. But if that's true than there is no rational fear, we judge the rationality of a fear based on how likely it is to ACTUALLY kill you. I think immortality is possible, and simply a design problem. We currently have the medical technology to keep someones body alive and functioning for an indefinite period of time. I am pro-life, I have been for as long as I can remember. Though my opinions on abortion in particular have changed over the years, I still consider myself pro-life. The reason is simply that I prefer life to death in any situation. I have expressed this in past articles, but here and now I will fully address my positions on this topic. So the other day, I was watching videos about corporatism, you know, as one does. And I started watching a video that was explaining it correctly. And well I had a funny feeling. I know corporatism has association with fascism, they were getting it right, and NOBODY gets it right, I knew they were either fascists or anarchists. And I was really hoping for the latter. Religion, a metaphysical lifestyle philosophy. An inherently toxic belief system, that is for some reason given a pass. Religion as a broad concept, has had a prevailing influential role throughout history, and continues to today.
